The basic frames are brought here from the frame assembly workshop - ready to have all the capillary grooves and fixing points added.

At Timber Windows, we use a state-of-the-art machine to create all these complex shapes in your wooden frames. Based on the original designs for your windows, every detail is carefully pre-programmed by experienced operators. Each window frame is then machined to the exact specifications required - under the watchful eye of the trained operator.

The benefits of using this machine process cannot be overstated. It allows us to produce windows with a level of precision and quality which is simply not possible using hand tools. It is important to note that all precision machining is carried out at a stage prior to wood preservation treatment. This is vital, because it means that nothing (such as additional drilling, cutting etc) can compromise the wood treatment process which follows.
