Factory Mini-MapThe painting and finishing process is the final stage before glazing - and where we add the vital protective layers to your new windows. Of course, the style of the paint will depend on your requirements, but in the Painting and Finishing area, we continue to apply the high standards which are the hallmark of our service.

In the case of painted windows, after a dipped coat of primer the frame is left to dry thoroughly before spraying a second (yellow) coat. We then spray the outer coat onto each window frame to 100% coverage. This process provides an incredibly durable painted surface which will not need redecorating for at least ten years (seven years for stained finishes).

On white and coloured finishes, our yellow coat serves a specific purpose - in that it gives you a visual cue for when re-decoration is required. Once the outer paint layer has thinned and the yellow colour begins to show through, you can re-paint the outer surface, safe in the knowledge that the inner timber is still protected (i.e. long before the primer can be compromised). All of your painted windows are then hung to dry in a temperature-controlled environment before being passed on to the glaziers.
